Also, some players won't be available for few matches due to International commitments

Away XI for CSK Matches:

Openers

With no doubt both Shane Watson & Ambati Rayudu will take the charge at top of the order as both will be available and another reason is their superb performance in last year's IPL in which they scored a total of 555 runs & 602 runs respectively with 2 centuries & 1 century a piece. Also, both will be available as they Watson is retired while Rayudu & India don't have any matches during or in-between IPL season.

Middle-Order

No.3 will again be run by Chinna-Thala Suresh Raina with his calm, composure & aggressive extinct and he is available for the complete season. Last year again he scored over 400 runs with 4 fifties at strike rate of over 130.

No.4 slot is undoubtedly will go to Thala Ms.Dhoni who will Captain the side and Keep the wickets too. He also scored over 400 runs last season including many match winning knocks.

No.5 will be Kedar Jadhav as he is a complete player who can bat well in tricky situations, can handle pressure & strike at a faster rate when required. Also, he provides team with a extra bowling option which in turn is effective.

No.6 is a no brainer for cool & experienced DJ.Bravo who was second highest wicket-taker for CSK in last season with 14 wickets at an average of 38.07. He is a kind of player who can pull things in CSK's favour at any point of time when needed.

No.7 is a slot ideal fo Sir Ravindra Jadeja. So, far he is doing good and has regained his place back into Indian ODI side on back-of good IPL performance. He took 11 wickets at an economy of over 7.5 in last edition.

Bowlers

No.8- A player of Mitchell Santner's potential becomes crucial and also strengthens the batting. Though he didn't play last year due to injury but is expected to be a key player for the team this year.

No.9- David Willey who will be the only overseas pace bowling option available for CSK on the first day as some of the South African players won't be available due to their International commitments.

No.10- A player of Deepak Chahar's calibre who can swing the ball both ways has always been a key to CSK's success and is definitely the first name after Ms.Dhoni, Suresh Raina & DJ.Bravo on the team sheet. He took 10 wickets in 12 matches in last season. He is in top form this season and has performed really well in domestic arena.

No.11- The come-back man Mohit Sharma has the finest slog overs bowling technique which CSK need desperately and his middle-over bowling tactics are too good & can fetch CSK crucial wickets when needed. Though he performed ok-ok last season for Punjab, he took 7 wickets in 9 matches and was later dropped from the side. But we expect a great home-coming performance from the lad.

Both Away XI & Home XI are same.

*Also, CSK is expected to be without some key overseas players from South Africa in first week of the tournament due to their International Commitments.
