India’s centurion of the Australia game, Shikhar Dhawan is learnt to have sustained a Thumb injury while batting and following it he didn’t came out to field. But reports from various sources state that Shikhar will be sent for the scan today and final call on his fitness will be taken by Team Physio Patrick Farhat on the Thursday before the match.

The scan have shown a fracture thus Shikhar has been ruled out for 3 weeks from the World Cup. There is no news on his replacement yet but Vijay Shankar is all set to play in the game against New Zealand at 4 while KL.Rahul will open the batting for team. Shikhar Dhawan will not feature in games against New Zealand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Windies & England.

No Replacement has been called for Shikhar Dhawan and he will be under observation and will stay with the team and as of now he will miss the game against New Zealand.
