In another recent turn of events the Indian All-Rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup with a toe injury. As, per reports form official broadcaster Star Sports, the Indian Team Management has requested Mayank Agarwal, the right-handed batsman as the replacement & which has been approved by ICC Technical Committee.
Mayank Agarwal is yet to make his international One-Day debut but is a player who can solve India’s no. 4 problem and can also open for the team if required. In 756 List A games he has scored over 3600 runs at an average of 48.71 with 12 centuries and 14 half-centuries. So, he is one of the best players to solve India’s middle order crises and can bat at 5, so Dhoni can play at no. 4.
